The project includes upgrades to the walking paths in Hemisfair as well as tree and shrub planting. Another aspect of Phase 2 is the “water feature” that will be known as The Springs. It is a representation of the irrigation canal called the Acequia Madre de Valero built by Spanish people in 1719 to serve the Alamo.
