SAN MARCOS, Texas — Police in San Marcos are investigating a double homicide that happened early Saturday morning.
Officers were dispatched to San Antonio Street at Guadalupe Street for reports of shots fired.
When they arrived at the scene, they found two confirmed fatalities.
Police say they detained several people, but assure the public that there is no ongoing threat.
There was a large law enforcement presence in the area while officers investigated, impacting traffic for several hours.
As of 7:30 a.m., the streets were back open.
