SAPD says the southbound lanes of I-10 are shut down due to a major fatal accident at Medical Drive.
SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department says they’re working a “major accident” that left one person dead on Interstate 10 at Medical Drive.
Around 1:30 p.m., SAPD responded to reports of a major accident on a southbound lanes of Interstate 10 at Medical Dive. Upon arrival, SAPD says one person was found dead on the scene.
Officials said traffic is being diverted to the Medical Drive exit as they believe the closure will last for the next few hours.
SAPD is asking drivers to find an alternate route and to avoid the area.
