
Detectives said they have one person detained but are still searching for the rest of the individuals involved.
SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department says they have one person detained following a shooting between two groups left a woman hospitalized.
Around 5:30 p.m., SAPD responded to the 2400 block of Oakhill Road after receiving reports of of a shooting between two groups of people.
Detectives said the two groups involved were familiar with one another and reportedly started exchanging words. One individual reportedly proceeded to flash a gun, prompting another to start shooting.
A woman was hospitalized after being struck in the leg and police said they have one person detained, but are still searching for the rest of the individuals involved.
Police said they believe one group lives near the area where the incident took place and the other was “visiting.”
