The driver was hospitalized and an investigation is ongoing.
SAN ANTONIO — The driver of an 18-wheeler lost control and ended up on its side along Loop 410 Monday morning, according to San Antonio police.
Emergency crews were called to the scene of a rollover accident around 11:30 a.m. at southeast Loop 410 near Southton Road.
Witnesses told police the driver of the 18-wheeler was all over the road and somehow lost control of the vehicle. The 18-wheeler hit the guardrail and flipped over – landing on its side.
Authorities said the driver was taken to the hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
The 18-wheeler was hauling clothing merchandise at the time of the accident.
According to SAPD, crews are cleaning up the roadway and should be cleared in a few hours. Traffic should not be greatly affected.
