
Witnesses told police about four to six male teens fired “rifle caliber” shots into the back of the home before running away.
SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department has confirmed an 18-year-old has died after a shooting on San Antonio’s west side.
Around 6 p.m. Monday, SAPD responded to the 300 block of Adaes Avenue after receiving reports of a shooting.
Witnesses told police that about four to six males, ranging in age from 15 to 18, fired “rifle caliber” shots into the back of the home, striking an 18-year-old male.
Police say the victim had been hospitalized with life-threatening wounds. He succumbed to his injuries overnight.
Authorities said they are still searching for the suspects in this case and as of now, they don’t know what the motivation for the shooting was.
