SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are investigating after two bodies were found in an east-side home Monday afternoon, officials said.
SAPD responded to a call around 1:40 p.m. at the 2400 block of Christian Drive after family members had not heard from a couple who lived in the residence for a few days. Family members said they were concerned since the couple were in their 60s.
Officials said a concerned relative reportedly broke into the home to check on the family members and found one of his relatives unresponsive on the floor of one of the rooms. Police officers were then called to the scene.
According to SAPD, upon arrival, officers searched the home and found a second person dead in a separate room.
Officials said a man and woman were both pronounced dead at the scene.
According to SAPD, some packages had apparently been delivered to the home but had not been picked up in a while.
The medical examiner will determine cause of death.
SAPD says this is an active investigation.
