
Police said gunfire broke out during what officers believe was an altercation of some kind.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police said two people were shot on the city’s west-side Tuesday afternoon.
SAPD said officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of W Laurel Street at approximately 4:20 p.m. for reports of a shooting-in-progress.
Upon arrival, police said two adult male victims were found with gunshot wounds to their legs. They were transported to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers believe there was an altercation of some kind that led to the exchange of of gunfire. Police said approximately 18 shell casings were found at the scene and a pistol was recovered.
There were also two self-reported adult males with gunshot wounds admitted to Methodist Hospital, according to police, but it is unclear at this time if the two are incidents are related.
Police also mentioned as officers made their way to the scene, there were reports of a black Sedan that fled westbound.
At this moment police say none of the parties are being cooperative with authorities. An investigation is underway.
