SAPD: 2 vehicles collide on the east side, killing one driver

A bystander was able to pull the driver of one of the vehicles out of their car, but he was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

SAN ANTONIO — A man is now dead after an accident involving two vehicles on San Antonio’s east side, according to police.

The crash happened around 9:41 p.m. Wednesday night at the intersection of South WW White and Harrisburg. Police say two vehicles were turning onto Harrisburg from opposite directions and crashed into each other.

A bystander was able to pull the driver of one of the vehicles out of their car, but he was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

The other driver was not injured in the crash. It’s unclear as of Thursday morning if they will face any criminal charges.
