
An “accidental shoulder check” lead to the suspect stabbing the three victims outside a nightclub, police say.
SAN ANTONIO — Three men were taken to the hospital after an accidental shoulder check turned violent early Friday morning, police say.
Around 2:13 a.m., police say a fight broke out near the Brass Monkey located in the 2700 block of North St. Mary’s Street.
Police say the three men in their 20s were standing on the sidewalk as three other people, including the suspect, walked past.
An “accidental shoulder check” led to a fight between both parties.
According to police, the suspect stabbed the three men, who were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, identified as 28-year-old David Rivera, has been arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
