San Antonio police investigate a northwest-side shooting that sent one person to the hospital.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are searching for two suspects after a shooting on the northwest side sent one person to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities were called to a residence on the 200 block of west Quill Drive for a shooting in progress around noon.
A police sergeant on scene said two men were fighting behind the house while clearing out trash. The argument eventually turned physical, and one of the men ran inside to grab a gun. He then brought the weapon back outside and fired two shots, hitting the victim in the left leg.
According to SAPD, a third suspect also attempted to use a tire iron to join the fight. Both suspects ran before police arrived.
Authorities said the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. No arrests have been made at this time.
SAPD remains at the scene collecting evidence. This is an ongoing investigation.
