SAPD: Child injured after being accidentally pinned against wall when her mom was trying to park SUV

The 12-year-old girl was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

SAN ANTONIO — Police say there was a tragic accident at a northwest-side apartment complex when a young girl was pinned between an SUV and a retaining wall.

Officials with the San Antonio Police Department were called out to the 3800 block of Parkdale Drive around 11 p.m. for reports of an accident.

Police say a 12-year-old girl was seriously hurt when she was pinned between an SUV and a retaining wall after she got out of the vehicle while her mother was trying to park.

Investigators say the mother accidently accelerated and hit her child, pinning her against the wall.

First responders rushed the girl to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

It’s unclear if the mother is facing any charges.
