A victim was found dead in the main lanes of the highway, apparently hit by a vehicle.
SAN ANTONIO — A portion of I-35 is closed Wednesday morning after a deadly accident near downtown, police say.
It happened around 3:40 a.m. on the lower level of I-35 at North Alamo Street in downtown San Antonio.
Police say a body was found in the main lanes of the highway, apparently having been hit by a vehicle.
First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.
It is not clear why the man was on the highway and what kind of vehicle may have hit him
Police are investigating.
