At about 2:03 a.m. Saturday, police say a vehicle drove by a Woodlake Estates home and opened fire, hitting a 25-year-old woman in the process.

A woman is now dead after a drive-by shooting on the northeast side, according to police.
At about 2:03 a.m. Saturday, police say a vehicle drove by a Woodlake Estates home and opened fire, hitting a 25-year-old woman in the process.
The woman was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, where she was later pronounced dead.
Several shell casings were found at the scene.
While officers were on their way to the location, a Bexar County Sheriff reported they were in pursuit of the suspect vehicle.
The vehicle crashed at the intersection of Walzem Road and IH-35, about three miles away from the fatal shooting according to Google Maps.




Deputies say the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The front passenger was found to be the shooting suspect and was placed under arrest by BCSO.
It’s unclear what led up to the shooting at this time.
