SAPD detain two suspects after allegedly fleeing from stolen vehicle in San Antonio

Officers knew the driver of the stolen vehicle, a 21-year-old man, had several warrants. A second suspect, a 19-year-old man, was also found in the passenger seat.

SAN ANTONIO — Two suspects were detained on the south side Friday evening after they abandoned a stolen vehicle, police say.

Around 5 p.m. on Friday police saw a stolen vehicle driving around the intersection of I-37 and Carolina Street.

Officers knew the driver of the stolen vehicle, a 21-year-old man, had several warrants. A second suspect, a 19-year-old man, was also found in the passenger seat.

Both suspects abandoned the vehicle and got into a second vehicle. A traffic stop was then conducted which resulted in the suspects to allegedly flee on foot.

Both suspects were detained shortly after.

It’s unclear what charges the two face.
