SAPD: Drive-by shooting injures man on south side Christmas morning

A man who police say shelters at different vacant properties around the area said he was at the corner and someone drove by and shot him in the shoulder.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot in the shoulder early Christmas morning after a suspected drive-by shooting on the south side, SAPD says.

Police were called to the area of Division and Orey for a shooting in progress around 6:39 a.m. Thursday.

A man who police say shelters at different vacant properties around the area told officials that he was at the corner and someone drove by and shot him in the shoulder.

The man could not provide any details about a possible suspect or suspect vehicle. Police also say he was giving conflicting information.

The man was taken to the hospital.
