
One person was hospitalized with major injuries, San Antonio police say.
SAN ANTONIO — Police have arrested a suspect after a major crash early Sunday morning that left one person hospitalized with serious injuries, according to a San Antonio Police Department report.
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Culebra Road at Bandera Road at about 2:46 a.m. Sunday for a two-vehicle crash, police said.
Investigators said two people were traveling eastbound on Bandera Road with a green light when their vehicle was struck by a black Ram truck traveling westbound on Culebra Road.
Police said the driver of the truck fled the scene on foot before officers arrived but was caught nearby.
One of the people in the struck vehicle was taken to a local hospital with major injuries.
The suspect was arrested on an intoxication assault charge. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
