
The driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and will be tested for DWI.
SAN ANTONIO — One man is dead and another is in serious condition after a single-vehicle crash on the southeast side, according to police.
Just after 1 a.m. Thursday morning, two men were driving on South Presa when their vehicle hit the center median and lost control, crashing into a school zone pole in the 9300 block of Natchez Trail Drive. Police say the pole tore apart the front of the vehicle.
The driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and faces a charge of intoxication manslaughter, according to police.
The passenger was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police also tell us that a similar crash happened in the same area on June 13th, 2022. That crash was so violent, police say the driver was dismembered.
