SAPD: Intoxicated driver runs over, kills man on the northwest side

The driver, a man in his mid-30s, was found to be intoxicated by police. He has been arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.

SAN ANTONIO — One person has died after a crash on the northwest side, according to officials.

Officials say the crash happened at Loop 410 near Culebra Road around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police say a white pickup truck was driving southbound on the access road of 410 when they went to take the turnaround.

According to witnesses, the truck was speeding and only heard breaking while going over the curb and running over a man sitting on the median. The victim, about 60 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
