SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are searching for a man who opened fire into a business early Sunday morning after pointing a gun at an employee, according to SAPD.

Officers were called to the 4000 block of Medical Drive around 2:21 a.m. for reports of a shooting in progress. When they arrived, they found several shell casings scattered outside the business.

Investigators say the suspect — described only as a 27-year-old man — had been a customer inside the business moments earlier. According to police, an employee asked the man to leave, which led to a verbal confrontation at the counter. During the argument, the suspect allegedly pointed a handgun at the cashier.

Police say he then walked outside and fired multiple rounds into the business. No one inside was hit or injured.

The suspect fled before officers arrived and has not yet been identified or found. Detectives are continuing to review evidence and interview witnesses.

SAPD says the case remains an active investigation and information may change as they learn more.

Anyone with information is urged to contact San Antonio police.
