SAN ANTONIO — A man and a woman were both shot Sunday afternoon after San Antonio police responded to a domestic disturbance on the city’s west side.
SAPD was called to the 1300 block of Robbins Point around 3 p.m. for a reported shooting in progress. Police said an argument between a man and a woman escalated into gunfire.
A police sergeant at the scene said the woman pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the man. During a struggle, the gun was swatted away and discharged, striking the woman in the hand and the man in the stomach.
Both were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. SAPD said no one else was inside the home at the time of the incident.
Police said the woman is being investigated as the suspect and the man as the victim, based on preliminary information that is subject to change.
