SAN ANTONIO — A man collapsed in a neighbor’s driveway after he was shot twice in a south-side neighborhood Monday, San Antonio police say.
Authorities were called to the 200 block of Rosebud Lane around 12:15 p.m. after a neighbor found a man bleeding in his driveway.
Police say the victim, identified as a 25-year-old man, was hanging out with a friend around 2 a.m. when he went outside by himself to wait for another person to arrive.
Investigators say the suspect, who the victim claims not to know, showed up and shot the 25-year-old man twice – once in the arm and leg. The friend who was inside the home heard the gunshots and came outside to find the man bleeding. The friend then went back inside to grab something to stop the bleeding but when they returned the victim was gone.
According to SAPD, the victim had gotten up and walked about a block from the crime scene before collapsing in a neighbor’s driveway where he remained until he was found around noon.
Police are unsure what the motive is.
SAPD says this is an ongoing investigation.
