Police say it was just an unfortunate accident and no charges will be filed against the driver.
SAN ANTONIO — A man is dead after police say he was struck by a driver while walking on the access road of I-10 on the east side of town late Friday night.
It happened on the frontage road of I-10 East at Foster Road around 9:30 p.m.
Police say the victim was walking in the middle of the access road against straffic when he was struck by a vehicle.
That driver told officers they did not see the man.
The victim was pronounces dead at the scene by EMS. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
Police say it was just an unfortunate accident and no charges will be filed against the driver.
Police had the access road closed off while they worked to investigate and clear the accident.
