SAN ANTONIO — A man is dead after San Antonio police said gunfire erupted at a southeast-side apartment complex on Wednesday night.
Detectives are left with a mystery, searching for the person who pulled the trigger. Right now, police don’t have any solid leads on suspects or what led up to the shooting.
Investigators said chaos unfolded just after 11:30 p.m. off the 4600 block of Pecan Valley Drive after officers got a call about shots fired at the Pecan Valley Golf Club Apartments.
Upon arrival, police said they couldn’t find a victim or a crime scene. About 20-minutes later, investigators said more calls came in for shots fired.
Officers rushed back to the apartments and that’s when they made a gruesome discovery.
According to police, a man in his 20s was found with multiple gunshot wounds, lying between vehicles. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said officers spent hours canvassing the complex—knocking on doors—hoping someone heard or saw something.
At this time, detectives are still working to determine a motive as they search for evidence that will lead them to find a killer.
This is a developing story.
