SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are trying to figure out what happened at an apartment complex on the far northwest side where a man was shot before being taken to a local hospital.
An SUV left the complex located in the area of Camino Villa and Bandera Road, where authorities received reports of gunfire shortly before 8 p.m., according to SAPD Sgt. Daniel Gonzales. Soon after, that same SUV arrived at a nearby hospital where others in the car were trying to get the victim help.
From there, the unidentified man was taken to University Hospital where he could receive treatment for “life-threatening” gunshot wounds. His condition is unknown at this point.
“As far as I know, the people that dropped him here stayed with him at the scene,” Gonzales said. “We have an investigation going on at the apartment where it was initially called in.”
He added that detectives were set to arrive at the scene where the shooting unfolded so they could start gathering clues. It’s unknown if anyone has been detained.
