SAPD: Man hit and killed by driver while trying to cross highway near downtown

The man was actually hit by two vehicles. The first driver fled the scene and the second stopped.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was hit and killed while trying to cross the highway near downtown San Antonio, according to police.

It happened around 10:15 p.m. on I-10 West near Guadalupe Street.

Police say the man tried to cross the highway when he was struck by a drive who did not stay to help him. A second driver then struck the victim. That driver did stop.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not not released.
