SAPD: Man hit, killed while walking on west-side

Police say the pedestrian was hit by a driver in a white SUV that did not stop to render aid.

SAN ANTONIO — Police say a man was hit and killed by a driver while he was walking on the west side of town early Sunday morning.

San Antonio Police responded to the 400 block of Historic Old Highway 90 around 1:49 a.m. for reports of an accident.

Officers say the victim was leaving a nearby business, and while he crossing the street, a vehicle believed to be a white SUV hit the man, then drove off.

Police are searching for the suspect’s vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. His identity has not yet been released.

No other injuries were reported.
