The driver that allegedly hit the man stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. The victim, 52, was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
SAN ANTONIO — A man is now dead after being hit while walking back to his vehicle, according to police.
Police arrived around the area of IH-37 and US Highway 281 around 8:20 p.m. Friday night. Once there, they located a 52-year-old man with serious injuries outside his vehicle, which was on the shoulder of the southbound lanes of IH-37.
SAPD says based on their investigation the man was walking back to his vehicle when he was hit by another vehicle.
