SAPD: Man hospitalized after accidentally being stabbed by ex-girlfriend as she threatened vagrant with knife

The woman was cooking when she allegedly threatened a man, knocking on their south-side apartment door, with a knife before her ex-boyfriend stepped in the way.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department says a man was accidentally stabbed by his ex-girlfriend as she threatened a man at their door with a knife.

Around 11:15 a.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of Roosevelt Avenue after receiving reports of a stabbing at a south-side apartment complex.

SAPD says the woman was still living with her ex-boyfriend and at some point she had brought over a vagrant individual to do drugs.

Preliminary information gathered by investigators on the scene suggests that the vagrant man had come back to their apartment Wednesday morning while the woman was cooking.

She allegedly got fed up with the amount of knocking and began to threaten the man with a knife before her ex stepped in the way, getting stabbed in the process.

The ex-boyfriend was taken to a local hospital but is in stable condition.

SAPD told KENS 5 no one, at this time, is facing any charges as all three of the individual’s stories corroborate one another’s and none of them made it known to police that they wanted to press charges.

Authorities said they are chalking this up as an accidental stabbing.
