
A dispute over unauthorized vehicle use escalated into a violent altercation in San Antonio, leaving a man injured and hospitalized.
SAN ANTONIO — A man was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after being injured during an aggravated assault involving a sharp object on the south side of town, according to San Antonio police.
Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of San Casimiro Street around 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 for a reported cutting in progress. A caller told police there was a physical altercation at a residence and that a sharp instrument was involved.
When officers arrived, they found a 33-year-old man with visible lacerations to his upper extremities. Police say the victim told them the fight began during a dispute over the suspect using a vehicle that did not belong to him.
During the confrontation, the 56-year-old suspect allegedly struck the victim with a sharp object, causing the injuries.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was apprehended at the scene.
Police say the investigation remains active and information is subject to change.
