A man allegedly bit an officer during a struggle, leading to an arrest for assault on a peace officer.
SAN ANTONIO — A man was taken into custody early Friday morning after police say he fought with officers and bit one of them while they were responding to a disturbance on the city’s northwest side.
San Antonio police were called around 2 a.m. on Nov. 28 to the 200 block of Golden Crown for reports of a disturbance. When officers arrived and tried to make contact to determine what was happening, the 22-year-old suspect reportedly charged through a chain-link fence and began fighting with them.
During the struggle, police say the man bit an officer, breaking the skin. Officers later determined the suspect was intoxicated, according to police.
He was arrested on a charge of assault on a peace officer.
This is a developing story.
