Investigators say the car went underneath the rear of the trailer, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
SAN ANTONIO — A man was killed early Wednesday morning after crashing into a parked 18-wheeler on the city’s southeast side, according to San Antonio Police.
The crash happened around 12:23 a.m. in the 1900 block of SE Loop 410. Officials at the scene said a man driving a sedan veered off the highway, traveled over the grass, then crossed the access road and slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler that was parked in a driveway waiting to make a delivery.
Investigators say the car went underneath the rear of the trailer. Fire crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
