SAPD: Man killed after losing control of his vehicle on slick roads, crashing into pole

The 26-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

SAN ANTONIO — A man is dead after he lost control of his vehicle on the slick roads and crashed into a pole, police say.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 7500 block of Tezel Road on the northwest side of San Antonio.

The 26-year-old victim was driving a 2008 Toyota Camry when the wet conditions caused him to lose control of his vehicle and crash into a steel pole. 

EMS attempted life-saving measures but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

No other vehicles were involved. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
