SAN ANTONIO — A man, donned in a costume, robbed a northeast-side Dollar General at gunpoint on Halloween, according to San Antonio police.
Authorities were called to the 5400 block of Randolph Boulevard around 10 p.m. for an aggravated robbery.
Police said a man had entered the store, wearing a black robe costume with a hood and approached the register. The suspect then pulled out a handgun from his waistband, demanding money from the register and safe.
According to SAPD, the employee attempted to comply but couldn’t access the register or safe. Another employee then approached the register and the suspect showed the gun again, demanding money from the second employee. That employee emptied the cash from a second register and handed it to the man.
Police say the suspect took the cash and fled the scene.
