SAN ANTONIO — A man told police he was shot in the groin at a VIA transit center in the downtown area, then took the bus home and called for help. But police later said there was “no visible gunshot wound found on his body.”
It happened around 1 a.m. at the VIA transit center located on North Frio Street at West Houston Street in downtown San Antonio. The 60-year-old victim told officers he took the bus home after being shot in the groin area in the 300 block of Marshall Street, then called police for help. He was taken to BAMC in stable condition.
Police say they looked for a crime scene at the location the victim gave them, but couldn’t find any evidence that a crime had taken place.
