Police say a man was shot multiple times after being hit by a vehicle in a parking lot west of downtown San Antonio.
SAN ANTONIO — A man was hospitalized with severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle and shot Sunday afternoon west of downtown San Antonio.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the shooting was reported around 12:27 p.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of South Zarzamora Street.
A sergeant at the scene said the incident began in the parking lot of a nearby Family Dollar.
Investigators say the suspect hit the victim with a car, then got out of the vehicle and fired several shots.
Witnesses reported hearing three gunshots, according to police. The victim was transported to a hospital with severe injuries.
Police say the suspect fled the scene in a red vehicle. No arrests have been announced.
The investigation is ongoing.
