SAPD: Man shot, drives to east-side gas station to call for help

Police said the man was rushed to the hospital in stable condition.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was hospitalized after San Antonio police said he was shot on the city’s east side early Saturday morning.

According to officials, the man was shot at a different location before driving to the Chevron off I-10 and East Houston Street where he called for help.

Police say he was rushed to a local hospital and is expected to survive. 

Detectives are now working to find a crime scene and track down the shooter.
