SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Police said a man was shot in his face on the city’s north-side Saturday afternoon.
SAPD said officers responded to a call for a shooting-in-progress on the 3000 block of Blanco Road where officers located a male victim, believed to be in his early 30s, at a nearby gas station.
The victim was walking down the side walk when police say a white Camaro pulled up and shot at him. The man was shot one time in the cheek.
Officials said the vehicle fled southbound on Blanco Road and the victim ran to the nearby gas station where he was located by officers.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries but police say he is not cooperating with investigators at this time.
Police also said an officer trying to get to the scene was involved in a minor accident but is expected to be OK.
This is a developing story.
