Police say the men were banging on the victim’s door until he answered and they got into an altercation.

SAN ANTONIO — Three unwelcomed guests at someone’s home caused a commotion on the eastside early Tuesday morning that sent a man to the hospital.

It happened around 2:15 a.m. in the 2700 block of East Houston Street near North Grimes Street on the east side of town.

Police say three men showed up at the man’s house looking for someone, banging on his door. The man reportedly told them that person didn’t live there and they got into an argument.

The argument escalated and one of the three suspects shot the man in the leg. The victim, a man in his 50s, was taken to BAMC with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the three suspects fled on foot but did not provide a description of the men.
