SAPD: Man shot, killed following a dispute over a stolen TV, suspect arrested

A man was fatally shot on the west side of San Antonio over a stolen TV dispute, with the suspect detained by police.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot and killed on the city’s west side after an argument over a stolen TV, according to San Antonio police. 

SAPD originally responded to a residence around 7:30 p.m. Sunday to investigate a TV theft. 

Police say a man, identified as 23-year-old Adam Delgado, said a 38-year-old man possibly stole the TV. Officers tried to locate the older man but were unable to find him. Officers at the scene documented the theft. 

Then SAPD was called to the intersection of SW 36th Street and W Cesar Chavez Way around 8:30 p.m., and found the 38-year-old man near Delgado’s residence with multiple gunshot wounds. 

Police say Delgado got into an argument with the man over the alleged stolen TV. Delgado then shot the victim in his shoulder and forehead. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

According to SAPD, Delgado remained at the scene after shooting and waited for officers. He was taken into custody and arrested for murder.

Police say this is an ongoing investigation.
