A truck driver called police saying he accidentally hit the man early Saturday morning. Police say the man tried to dodge the truck but “wasn’t fast enough.”
SAN ANTONIO — A man is dead after police say he was “running back and forth across a highway” in San Antonio early Saturday morning.
Witnesses say the man, currently unidentified, was running back and forth across the highway about an hour before the incident. Police went out to check on him, but he was unable to be found.
Later on, a truck driver called police saying he accidentally hit the man around the intersection of I-35 N and Eisenhauer Road around 12:42 a.m. Police say the man tried to dodge the truck but “wasn’t fast enough.”
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver stayed on scene and is not expected to face any criminal charges.
