SAPD motorcycle officer hit by car, hospitalized as precaution, officials say

It’s unknown if anyone will face charges after the Tuesday afternoon collision.

SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio police officer was taken to a hospital but is expected to be OK after officials said they were hit by a car on the northwest side. 

Law enforcement responded to the area of Bandera and Loop 1604 around 3:40 p.m., where the officer was riding a motorcycle when the collision unfolded, officials say. The unidentified officer was hospitalized as a precautionary measure; there were no major injuries. 

It’s unclear as of now if anyone has been detained or any charges pending as a result of the crash.
