SAPD: Motorcyclist sustains life-threatening injuries after driver in SUV crashes into back of his bike

The suspect initially stayed on the scene, but when officers got closer, they drove off.

SAN ANTONIO — A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after the driver in a dark-colored SUV ran into the back of his motorcycle, police say.

It happened Saturday afternoon around 1 p.m. in the 1000 block of U.S. Highway 90.

Officers arrived at the location and found the motorcyclist critically injured. Police say the suspect initially stayed on the scene, but when officers got closer, they drove off. No description was provided for the suspect, except they were driving a dark-colored SUV.

The victim, who was riding a 2024 Harley Davidson, was taken to the hospital to be treated for his life-threatening injuries.
