SAN ANTONIO — A police officer reportedly fired his weapon at a suspect’s vehicle early Sunday morning after they failed to follow his commands to stop, according to police.

San Antonio Police were assisting the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office in clearing an accident on Liberty Field at West Loop 1604 around 3:30 a.m. when they got word that a suspect’s vehicle that police suspect was involved in four separate Aggravated Robberies was headed in their direction.

When the officer saw the suspect, he tried to stop them but the suspect drove onto the curb and didn’t stop or follow his commands, police say. The suspect then drove towards the officer, who took out his service weapon and fired at the vehicle, according to police.

The suspect fled from the scene. Police were able to arrest the 19-year-old suspect at a different location. A pair of teenagers, a boy and a girl, were also apprehended, police say.
