SAN ANTONIO — According to an SAPD press release, an off-duty SAPD Officer was arrested for assault this morning.
The release says SAPD Officer, Mark Andrew Sanchez Jr. turned himself in Tuesday morning after the victim filed a police report on Nov. 11.
Officer Sanchez was immediately suspended without pay and SAPD is conducting an investigation, according to officials.
Officer Sanchez had been with the department for five years and was arrested for assault bodily injury-married/cohabitation.
