SAN ANTONIO — A woman was found with a gunshot wound to the head under an overpass near Poplar St and IH 10 westbound.
San Antonio police officers responded to a call about a female who had been shot.
After arriving officers located the woman and confirmed she sustained a gunshot wound to the head, and was still breathing.
The victim is a woman in her 30’s and is believed to be homeless, according to SAPD authorities. She was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
SAPD Homicide Unit is on scene and the investigation is ongoing,
Police say they have no suspects but are working on a couple of leads.
