SAPD on scene of man found dead in vehicle in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department said they are investigating an active scene on the southwest side after a man was found dead in a vehicle.

Around 11:20 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Airlift Drive after receiving reports of a possible death.

Upon arrival, an SAPD spokesperson confirmed a male in his early 40s was found dead in a vehicle. EMS attempted to render medical aid but police said it was too late.

Investigators believe the man was at work this morning and said he was not feeling well before leaving to be checked out by a doctor. Shortly after, officials said security checking the area located him in the car.

At this time, investigators say there is no sign of foul play but they are investigating the death as a homicide in order to collect proper evidence. Officials say they are working to notify next of kin.

This is an ongoing investigation.
