SAPD: One person severely injured after getting hit by car on Bandera Road

Authorities say the driver fled the scene.

SAN ANTONIO — One person was severely injured after getting hit by a vehicle near the northwest side Saturday night, according to San Antonio police. 

Emergency responders were called to the 1000 block of Bandera Road just after 10 p.m. for a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. 

Police said one person was attempting to cross Bandera Road when they were struck by a Dodge Nitro. 

Authorities said the driver fled the scene before officers arrived. 

No other information was provided.
