SAPD: Pedestrian hit in early-morning crash on northwest side

The victim was taken to the hospital where at last check she was fighting life-threatening injuries.

SAN ANTONIO — A woman is in the hospital after being hit by a vehicle on the northwest side, police say.

SAPD was called to the intersection of North San Dario and Culebra Road for a major accident at about 4:45 a.m. Saturday morning.

The driver told police she thought she hit something, but she wasn’t sure what.

Officers searched the area and found a woman in the roadway with major injuries from the crash.

The woman was known to be crossing an area where there wasn’t a crosswalk, police say.

She was taken to the hospital where at last check she was fighting life-threatening injuries.

The driver remained on scene and helped with the investigation.
