SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police say they’re looking for a group of young men who can be seen on blurry cell phone video surrounding a woman before pulling her to the ground, “causing pain and dizziness” after her head hit the sidewalk.
Authorities say one of the unidentified juveniles then stole “several hundred dollars” from her pocket before taking off running. The confrontation happened Feb. 14 in the area of West Cesar Chavez and South San Dario on the west side, and was captured by a witness from a distance.
The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) shared that video on social media, hoping the public can help identify the suspects.
In the video, a group of six individuals can be seen standing with the woman before one of them violently yanks her to the ground from behind, after which they run away. It’s unclear as of now what charges they could be facing.
The victim’s age wasn’t specified, but SAPD said she was elderly.
